There are opportunities for significant and long-term involvement and support for FSC by organizations and corporations. Partners must have a commitment to FSC and its values of openness, transparency and responsible use of the world's resources. All proposals will be carefully evaluated to ensure they do not give rise to potential or actual conflict of interest. Partnerships will generally be at two levels:
Global Partner
Global partnerships are for general support of the organization. These are significant contributions and may be cash or in-kind over at least three years. Global partners will be acknowledged in all FSC general publications (including web site and annual report). Employees of global partners will be invited to participate in selected events and to gain first hand knowledge of FSC activities in forest areas.
Project partner
Project support will normally be associated with a particular project over three years. Contributions may be cash or in-kind.
Projects could include:
- Support for development of a particular National Initiative
- Support for development of a Regional Office
- Support for a policy review consultation program
- Support for a marketing program
- Support for a major event
All project partners will be acknowledged in the FSC Annual Report and in material associated with the particular project that is being supported. Employees of project partners will be encouraged to participate and contribute to the project being supported.
