FSC Australia is pleased and excited to welcome Jamie Durie as our first ever Ambassador. Jamie is undoubtedly one of Australia’s most successful exports and recognisable talents. A qualified horticulturalist and landscape designer, he is the founder of the international award-winning design company PATIO Landscape Architecture and Design. He is also a best-selling author, television host and manages his own successful line of merchandised product, PATIO by Jamie Durie.
An advocate for preserving our natural surroundings and environmental future, Jamie has trained with former Vice President Al Gore as a Climate Change Presenter and regularly participates in environmental lectures around the world. Additionally, Jamie is the ambassador and advocate for a range of environmental and charity organisations within Australia and internationally, and takes every effort to promote environmentally sustainable practices within his work. Jamie works with organisations such as Plan International, Planet Ark and the Australian Conservation Foundation as part of his commitment to giving back to our planet.
In 2003 Jamie launched PATIO by Jamie Durie, a unique range of gardening and outdoor products that reflect his own Outdoor Room philosophy. The large range of timber outdoor furniture within the PATIO by Jamie Durie range is certified to FSC standards, helping to ensure Jamie’s high level of commitment to the environment and social objectives at the forest manager and manufacturing stages is maintained.
