// New Adviser on Policy and Standards
FSC Australia has engaged Pina Gervassi as a special adviser on policy and standards issues. Her appointment will provide a boost to the organisation's ability to progress work on an Australian FSC forest management standard as well as projects such as the High Conservation Value Assessment Framework. Pina will provide FSC Australia with independent advice on these issues. Pina comes to FSC Australia with more than four years experience as a policy and standards manger at FSC International in Bonn and previous experience as General Manager of the FSC national organisation in Peru and Forest Officer with FSC in Argentina. She has a Masters degree in environmental management and a Bachelors degree in forestry. Pina will work with FSC Australia two days a week. Her position is supported by private Trusts and Foundations who are interested in seeing FSC Australia progress this important work.
