FSC Australia are proud to annouce that the 2nd Annual Responsible Forest Management Awards will be held in Melbourne on 14 October 2009 The objective of these Awards is to recognise and reward those organisations that exemplify the spirit and intent of the FSC system through their management practices, their contribution and their promotion of FSC certification and FSC certified products.

The Awards will be offered in seven categories:

LARGE FOREST MANAGER OF THE YEAR
For organisations managing forest areas in excess of 10,000 hectares

SMALL FOREST MANAGER OF THE YEAR
For organisations managing forest areas up to and including 10,000 hectares

LARGE CHAIN OF CUSTODY OPERATION OF THE YEAR
For Chain of Custody operations with an annual turnover in excess of $10 million per annum

SMALL CHAIN OF CUSTODY OPERATION OF THE YEAR
For Chain of Custody operations with annual turnover less than or equal to $10 million per annum

RETAILER OF THE YEAR
For retailers offering FSC certified products

BUILDING COMPANY/DEVELOPER OF THE YEAR
For builders using FSC certified products

PUBLISHER/PAPER USER OF THE YEAR
For large scale paper uses using FSC certified paper & printers

These Awards recognise and reward those organisations that exemplify the spirit and intent of the FSC system through their management practices, their contribution and their promotion of FSC certification and FSC certified products.

KEY DATES
Nominations addressing the criteria above must be submitted by 9AM, Monday 7 September 2009 in the format available from FSC Australia directly or via the FSC Australia website.
Winners will be announced at the 2nd Annual FSC Annual Dinner & Awards Night to be held in Melbourne on 14 October (further details available shortly).
